The U.S. Access Board, in conjunction with the NRPA Congress & Exposition, will hold a public hearing on Proposed Accessibility Guidelines for Outdoor Developed Areas on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2- 5 p.m., at the Indiana Convention Center in Room 102. The public is encouraged to provide comments on these proposed guidelines.
The U.S. Access Board recently published proposed accessibility guidelines for outdoor developed areas, addressing issues for trails, camping and picnic areas and beach access routes. The U.S. Access Board is specifically interested in hearing from persons with disabilities who are active in the outdoors, as well as from landscape architects, park administrators and others.
