A Note From President-Elect and Committee Chair Linda Kotowski

Thank you for making time to visit this blog in order to participate in and learn more about NRPA’s strategic planning process. We are excited to have this technology to facilitate the ongoing engagement of so many of our members in this critical process.

Please visit the site often, as we will add updates throughout the year. Refer to the calendar to watch how the strategic plan update progresses through the various review and input points of the process.

And please provide your formal input at three key stages in this year’s planning process:

June 6–29
Complete the on-line member survey on this site to provide your insights and views of what you believe are the greatest challenges facing the park and recreation field and the most important issues for NRPA to address over the next three years.  The Committee will consider your input as the plan is revised for the period beginning July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011.

Sept. 10-25
Provide comments on the draft revision to the strategic plan covering the period beginning July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011.  Directions for providing input will be posted on this site.

Sept. 28
Attend the public meeting in Indianapolis from 2:00 to 3:30 to gain an overview of the revised plan, ask questions and provide input prior to the plan being presented to the Board for approval the next day.

Members are also encouraged to respond on-line to the postings on this blog site and share general observations, suggestions and comments.  Strategic Planning Committee members will monitor the site regularly to consider the input from the membership in our deliberations.
